Oluwasola Mary Fasan and Gerda Fourie are among 10 inspiring women scientists from Sub-Saharan Africa who have been honoured for their work in the scientific fields by being awarded fellowships of US$20 000 (R164,173) towards their studies. Both Oluwasola and Gerda are PhD students at the University of Pretoria, studying computer science and microbiology respectively.
