The Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria, Prof Cheryl de la Rey, opened a new Geotechnical Centrifuge Laboratory in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Pretoria, which will be used to carry out model studies of geotechnical problems in the field of civil engineering.
