Krękvars 2009

As in previous years, the 2009 Krękvars Students Arts Festival, hosted by the Drama Department, will be remembered as a resounding success. The official opening was attended by representatives of the Czech Republic embassy and the Brazilian embassy, as well as representatives from other local drama departments. In addition, familiar industry figures such as Eloise Cupido, Melt Sieberhagen (“District 9”), Hannes Brummer (“Kompleks”) and Shareen Swart (“7de Laan”) were also in attendance. Sieberhagen and Brummer brought their side-splitting stand-up comedy show, “The Flying Dutchman”, to the festival.
