Benyam Dawit Mezmur, a 2005 graduate of the Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa at the University of Pretoria's Centre for Human Rights Centre, was elected a member of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights of the Child at the African Union (AU) meeting currently under way in Kampala, Uganda.
