Education legend donates to the University of Pretoria

The celebrated alumnus, Ms Elizabeth Steijn, has bequeathed R7 m to the University of Pretoria to be used for the awarding of bursaries to students who are financially needy or academically deserving, as well as to support the Centre for Contextual Ministry. The Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof Cheryl de la Rey, met with the relatives of Ms Steijn on 19 January 2011 to acknowledge the donation.
