The World Youth Choir concert in Pretoria takes place on Sunday 29 July 2007, at 15:00 in the Musaion on the University of Pretoria main campus, Lynnwood road, Brooklyn.
Tickets at R70 can be booked through Computicket.

The choir, consisting of 78 singers from 32 countries is conducted by Peter Dijkstra from the Netherlands and Sidumo Jacobs from South Africa who compiled an exciting musical programme. Seven South Africans have been selected to sing in the WYC this year.

In South Africa, it is generally assumed that youth choir members are still in high school. However, members of the WYC are students between the ages of 17 and 26 years. Every year, strict auditions are held worldwide, whereafter an international selection committee assembles the choir and appoints conductors. In this manner, a unique and truly international choir is created, constituting a coming together of cultures and musical talent.

A WYC concert is an exciting event and may definitely not be missed.
