More than 30 000 students and their parents attended the University of Pretoria?s annual Open Day on Saturday, May 24.

The annual event is organised to allow prospective students and their parents to get all the information they need about academic and student life. Visitors had the opportunity to go on tours of the campuses, find out about our academic programmes and admission requirements, as well as visit exhibitions on the sport, cultural and social activities offered on and around the campus.

According to Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University, Prof. Calie Pistorius, the annual Open Day is a wonderful opportunity to fully experience what the University of Pretoria has to offer. “It is an opportunity for parents and prospective students to discover the campus, the study opportunities, the people, the facilities – discover what being a Tukkie means to more than two hundred thousand alumni,” explained Prof. Pistorius.

The Open Day festivities included a draw for a bursary and a special function for top achievers and school principals.
