How can fees be paid?

Options 1 : Card payments

Card payments (credit cards) can be done on-line but also at the cashiers and by telephone at +27 (0)12 420-3111.


Option 2
: Direct deposits into the University's bank accounts can be made at ABSA and Standard Bank or via the website of your own bank. The deposit slip should be retained for reference purposes. Details of the accounts are as follows:

Please use Standard Bank’s M65 deposit slip
whenever available.
Always state your student number on the deposit slip. Without your student number your payment cannot be processed.
Note: Card and bank payments are forwarded to the University by the banks by means of batch processing. Therefore, the payment will not appear on your account on the same day. Bank processing usually takes at least two working days.

Payments by cheque, other than those made by means of a bank guaranteed cheque, is subject to a bank clearance period of 10 working days.

A copy of the deposit slip may be faxed to +27 (0)12 420-5117.

Option 3 : Cashiers are available in the Client Service Centre (Hatfield Campus) between 08:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. Cashiers are also available on other campuses.
Discount of early settling of account

A 2.5% discount is granted on fees in respect of tuition, accommodation and meals if a student's account is fully settled by 31 March.

Note : The rebate is determined on the amount paid by the student or on the student’s behalf with the exclusion of UP loans and bursaries, as well as NSFAS loans.
