UP graduate awarded as most improved employee - 15/05/2013

On Labor Day (1 May 2013), Mr Oliver Mudenda, a 2012 University of Pretoria (UP) graduate, received a prestigious award for being the most improved employee in terms of competencies and quality delivery of aeronautical services at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. The award was granted by the Zambian Ministry of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication (MTWSC) shortly after Mr Mudenda completed a BSc degree in Meteorology at UP.

Reaching for the stars - 22/04/2013

At a graduation ceremony on 17 April 2013, Dr Christina Botai, researcher at the Hartebeesthoek Radio Astronomy Observatory (HartRAO) received a doctoral degree with a thesis focused on space geodesy from the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences. This is only two years after her husband, Dr Joel Botai, had also received a doctoral degree in the same study field at the University of Pretoria (UP).
