Grade 12 dux learners (top academic achiever in Grade 12) at 678 selected feeder schools (1 award per school), if you commence with studies at the University of Pretoria the year immediately after your final schooling year.

Initial payment for tuition during registration period

(R4 100)

 

Please note:

  • Awards are fully repayable should students discontinue or relinquish their participation in the study programme enrolled for, for whatever reason during the year in which the award is made.
  • Should a student exchange his/her study programme for another during the year in which the award is made, the award value initially allocated for the study programme enrolled for in the first place will remain unchanged. That is to say, the award will not be cancelled or adjusted upward/downward to align it with consecutive study programmes enrolled for.

 

 

3.         Guaranteed admission to a non-selection study programme of the student’s first or second choice

 


Conditions

  • Applications must be received not later than 1 May in the year preceding commencement of studies.
  • The minimum requirements for admission to the chosen study programme must be met in the results achieved in the final school-year end examination.
  • The minimum National Benchmark Test (NBT) requirement for the specific programme must be met.

4.         Placement in a residence of the University of Pretoria

Consideration for placement in a residence of the University of Pretoria, provided your application is received not later than 1 May of the year preceding commencement of studies and once you are provisionally admitted to a study programme. After 1 May placement will be considered based on the availability of space.
