The CSC strives to provide the University with a competitive advantage in client relationship management and to maintain a competitive market share of top matriculants who apply for study.
Mission
The mission of the CSC is to provide an excellent, integrated service throughout the lifecycle of a student. The CSC eliminates wastage in the organisation with first-line resolution of telephonic enquiries on an 80% service level. The positioning of the CSC enables a holistic view of the lifecycle of the student and facilitates processes and procedures that are client centric.
Services
The Client Service Centre (CSC) is a leader in South Africa and globally in terms of its range of integrated services and the number of communication channels available to clients. The CSC continues to add value for clients by striving to render a more convenient, effective and professional service. It also eliminates wastage in the University by absorbing 80% of general enquiries and transactions at first contact and by facilitating client-friendly processes and coordinating online self-service.
The CSC is a one-stop service for all the University’s clients (including current and prospective students, international students, parents and alumni) in response to student-related enquiries and services. These services can be accessed via personal visits, web, email, fax, telephone and post or general consultation.
Services provided by the CSC include:
- student recruitment;
- general enquiries (voice, walk-in, email, mail, web, fax);
- residence enquiries;
- applications for study;
- payments and student accounts;
- financial aid;
- access cards and parking;
- graduate career office and student jobs;
- international student support; and
- course consultation.
The International Students Division (ISD)
The ISD is responsible for the pre-care, in-care and post-care of non-RSA citizens who intend to enrol for studies at the University. This service includes the logistics and care of postdoctoral fellows, with services ranging from immigration, banking and medical cover issues to assistance in orientation and other areas of student life.
