BComHons (Marketing Management) students in the Strategic Marketing class were challenged by Bosch to design a digital marketing campaign for do-it-yourself (DIY) product introductions in the Bosch Power tools brands.
The sky is the limit for Mrs Managa Devar, Administrator at the Department of Marketing Management. Mrs Devar received her BAdminHons (Public Administration) degree in April 2013.
There aren’t many better ways to get students excited about academic matters than to kick-off the third-year Practical Project course in Marketing Management by giving each BCom (Marketing Management) student a free Chip ’n Dip and a cool drink. This initiative forms part of the practical project the marketing students will be doing for Potatoes SA (PSA), during which students are required to develop creative marketing campaigns for PSA.
One lucky third-year BCom (Marketing Management) student was thrilled to have won an iPad4 during class on 10 April 2013. This special event formed part of the BCom (Hons) Marketing Management programme, where honours students are involved in the execution of various campaigns for the Gautrain Management Agency.
Mr Kobus Snyman, Franchise Solution Specialist at Absa and Mr Kobus Oosthuizen, CEO of SA Franchise Warehouse visited the BCom (Hons) Marketing class on 4 April 2013 to share their knowledge and expertise on the franchise industry.
Marketing on the Move The BComHons (Marketing) students were introduced to digital marketing in a fun and interactive way when they were asked to create a video clip showcasing what marketing entails. The video clip had to incorporate “marketing on the move”, to complement the Department’s theme for 2013, namely “On the move”. The best three videos were selected and are currently competing for the most “likes” and “views” on YouTube.
