The Department of Political Sciences cordially invites you to a student seminar on "From Swords to Ploughshares? Identity Transformation and Reconciliation in Zimbabwe and South Africa" presented by Florian Krampe.
Florian Krampe works at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University and the Uppsala Centre for Sustainable Development. His research deals with Environmental and Climate Change in relation to Armed Conflicts and Human Security, Sociological Perspectives on Post-Conflict Peace-building and Reconciliation. His area focus is on Southern Africa and the Balkans. Krampe recently published a critical assessment of the ‘New Wars’ debate. This seminar is based on his Master’s dissertation. The research for the dissertation and seminarwas supported through a student scholarship by the International Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO).
