Conference on "Regional integration in Europe and Africa: models, practices and comparative perspectives
The Department of Political Sciences is pleased to invite you to a conference on "Regional integration in Europe and Africa: models, practices and comparative perspectives" to be held at the University of Pretoria from 16-18 February 2011.
The Conference will also see the launch of the UP Research Unit for Euro-African Studies, the recently announced UNESCO Chair in Regional Integration, Migration and Free Movement of People, a joint initiative by the UN University and the University of Pretoria, and the presentation of Geoff Pigman's latest book Contemporary Diplomacy (Polity Press).
International speakers at the conference will include, amongst others:
Prof. Philippe C. Schmitter (CEU and Stanford), Prof. Amitav Acharya (American University), Prof. Mario Telò (ULB, Belgium), Dr. Xinning Song (Renmin University) and Dr. Luk Van Langenhove (UN University)
