Public Seminar: Freedom of Expression: How far has Africa progressed?

The Department of Political Sciences and Institute for Strategic and Political Affairs, in association with Xstrata and The Sunday Independent is hosting a public seminar on freedom of expression, to be presented by Advocate Pansy Tlakula, on Thursday, 26 July 2012.
Advocate Tlakula is the chairperson of the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC). She holds the degrees BProc (University of the North), LLB (Wits) and LLM (Harvard) and is Chancellor of the Vaal University of Technology. Before her current appointment, Adv Tlakula served as Chief Electoral Officer of the IEC from 2002 to 2010.
