TUKS LADIES CRICKET: WINNING RECIPE
TUKS Ladies Cricket started off in 1996 when ladies cricket was affiliated as part of the Club Cricket scene in South Africa. Although this was the first time that ladies were allowed to play in club, provisional and national level in ladies only teams, this did not mean that there were no talented ladies cricket players already waiting to play the game they love.
TUKS Ladies Cricket came a long way since 1996, not only did they manage to win the women’s league 10 times in the last 16 seasons, but they also had several players selected for Provincial and National duties over the past years. Most recently, Tukkie Mignon du Preez was elected as the Protea’s captain.
At TUKS we have the best available coaches and training facilities. Our coaches use the latest training techniques and are always available for additional one on one sessions.
What makes Tuks Ladies Cricket so successful is that we focus on the growth & well being of each player, and not just on the amount of trophies we can pocket.
Tuks Ladies Cricket is a club for all; young and old, experienced players & new comers, those that want to compete on a competitive level and even for those that just want to come and have fun. Our Winning Recipe is that we have adopted an approach, where anybody who does not like cricket, but love cricket, will be able to join the club and be part of an awesome team.
TUKS Ladies Cricket, we are more than just a club or a team, we are one big family.
Anybody is welcome to come and join one of our practice sessions: Our Training times are Mondays and Thursdays at 16:30 at the Tuks Oval, at the University of Pretoria Sport Campus (LC De Villiers).
Please contact Ladies Coach, Zee Gubuza on 012 420 6151 for more information.
Make sure you don’t miss out, take that chance, you won’t regret it!
