Welcome to the Department of Procedural Law



The Department of Procedural Law teaches Criminal and Civil Procedure, Law of Evidence, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Conveyancing and Notarial Practice, Sport Law, International Insolvency Law and Legal Practice. This Department also takes academic responsibility for the practical training that takes place in the Law Clinic.

Trial, trial and trial again - 24/07/2014

The Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria was again the facilitator of and host to the Annual Trial Advocacy Training Course for Law Students during the July recess. This four-day course is presented by the judiciary and members of the Pretoria Bar, in conjunction with the Department of Procedural Law, and is designed for TuksLaw’s budding young trial lawyers.
