Institutional Research Themes

General information

Our postgraduate study programmes are in high demand and spaces fill up very quickly. It is important that you submit an expression of interest for the scholarship opportunities listed below, as soon as possible.

Scholarships

The University of Pretoria, through its institutional and faculty research themes, has master’s, PhD and post-doctoral study scholarships and research fellowships available in:

  • Biotechnology and the Management of Animal and Zoonotic Diseases
  • Genomics
  • Food, Nutrition and Well-being
  • Energy
  • Malaria
If you are interested in these scholarships please submit an expression of interest as soon and possible to the theme leader or their representative indicated below. Please note that the theme related to Cellular and Molecular Medicine is already fully subscribed for 2012.

Expressions of Interest

Expressions of interest in the above scholarship programmes should be sent to the Research Theme Leaders indicated below. Advice on degree options in these cross-disciplinary fields and how to submit your expression of interest for consideration is obtainable from the contacts listed below. 

The first round of expressions of interest closes on 7 December 2011. Further expressions will be considered in the next cycle.
