BA (HONS) Journalism

The postgraduate programme in Journalism was introduced in 2012.

It is a one-year full-time programme. In addition to the five compulsory modules, it offers the following:
• Intensive training in reporting and writing skills
• Participation in in-depth discussions on the role of the media in society
• Specialisation options in various fields (such as arts, business, science, and politics)
• Specialisation options on various platforms (such as new media, print, television, radio)

The closing date to apply for the honours programme in 2014 is 31 August 2013. Applicants must be available to write the required exam in October 2013 (preferably in Pretoria).
