The University of Pretoria Law Clinic’s Research and Short Courses Section, in collaboration with Feasibility (Pty) Ltd, conducted research for the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) on the policy and objectives of the National Credit Act 34 of 2005. The dti intends to amend the legislation and commissioned the research team with the mandate to analyse the policy upon which the National Credit Act was founded and to develop such policy with the view of effecting amendments to the Act.

Law Clinic: Practical Law 410

The Law Clinic Students, enrolled for the elective subjects Practical Law 410 and 420, are required to consult with clients, draft letters and pleadings, conduct research and negotiate with opposing parties during their year in the Clinic. In order to prepare the students for the task at hand an intensive two day residential workshop was held on the 4th and 5th of March 2011at Nevenbergh Conference Centre, Krugersdorp.
