WORLD HUMAN RIGHTS MOOT COURT COMPETITION PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA 8-9 DECEMBER 2010
During the celebrations of International Human Rights Day in 2009 the University of Pretoria, with the support of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, initiated the first World Human Rights Moot Court. Ten teams, two per United Nations region, participated in the final round. High Commissioner Navi Pillay and two former South African Chief Justices as well as other eminent international jurists were among those who presided in the final rounds.
In view of the positive response to the first competition, the University of Pretoria, with the support of the Southern African Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (ROSA), during the week leading up to the celebrations of 10 December will, present the second World Human Rights Moot Court Competition on 8 and 9 December 2010.
Please note: The third World Human Rights Moot Court Competition will be presented on 8 and 9 December 2011

CONCOURS MONDIAL DE PROCES SIMULÉ DES DROITS DE L'HOMME PRETORIA, AFRIQUE DU SUD
8-9 DECEMBRE 2010
Lors des célébrations marquant la journée Internationale des Droits de l’Homme en 2009, l’Université de Pretoria avec le soutien du Haut Commissariat des Nations aux Droits de l’Homme, a décidé de l’organisation de la première édition du Concours Mondial de Procès Simulé des Droits de l’Homme. Dix équipes, soit deux par régions des Nations Unies, ont participé aux phases finales. La Haut Commissaire Navi Pillay et deux anciens Présidents de la Cour Constitutionnelle d’Afrique du Sud ainsi que des juristes de grand renom ont siégé lors des phases finales.
Aux vues du succès de la premiere édition de la compétition, l’Université de Pretoria avec le soutien du Bureau Régional pour l’Afrique Australe du Haut Commissariat des Nations Unies aux Droits de l’Homme, organisera dans la semaine des celebrations du 10 Décembre 2010, la deuxieme Édition du Concours Mondial de Proces Simulé des Droits de l’Homme les 8 et 9 décembre 2010.
Bien noter: Le troisième Concours Mondial de Procès Simulé des Droits de l’Homme aura lieu les 8 et 9 décembre 2011
