Roadrunners Club

The TuksAlumni Roadrunners Club has been incorporated into the Tuks Marathon Club from January this year. The first race of the new amalgamated club, the Bestmed Tuks race, took place on 19 February and attracted more than 8 000 athletes. This race has further historical value in that the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof Cheryl de la Rey, joined the club and also ran the race.

The winners of the 21.1 km race were Sibusiso Nzima (men) and Mamorolla Tjoka (women), and of the 10 km race Stephen Mokoka (men) and Rutendo Nyahora (women). A 5 km fun run for adults and a 1 km fun run for the little ones were also held.
