Outreach & Schools, Satellite Programme

In South Africa, TuksSwimming has pioneered the satellite programme which has expanded to programmes within Pretoria and its surrounding communities.

Each of these programmes has formed an integral part of the Tuks Swimming programme. These programmes have enabled members to compete, as competitive members locally as well as nationally. The TuksSwimming programme operates at a squad level. Support is offered to the swimmers through the head quarters, as well entries for galas. Weekly programming and advice is provided to each club through the club consultant.

At TuksSwimming, the swimmers form an integral part and compete under TuksSwimming at all local, provincial and national events. 

The increased demand for assistance of school swimming teams, within the greater Pretoria region has been highlighted, over and above the competitive swimmers within the club programme at headquarters. Over the last season, our coaches involved in the programme at TuksSwimming have assisted and guided various schools such as Rietondale Primary, Glenstansia Primary, Southdowns College, St. Mary’s DSG & American International of Johannesburg. All of these schools have found great value in being associated with our programme and we are sure this will grow within our club.
