TuksSwimming Academy

Swimming is classified as a priority sport at TuksSport due to the highly successful overall programme and the dynamic swimming academy (sports school). Each squad has specific developmental goals which are integrated long term athlete developmental programmes, unique to Tuks.

The long term swimmer development model is in line with the school times and the curriculum of the TuksSport High School which is structured to accommodate the high volume of training.

From this programme, individual swimmers have been selected for:

• Olympic games 2008 (7 swimmers)

• Paralympics 2008 (1 swimmer)

• FINA WORLD Championships

• Commonwealth Games

• African Snr/ Jnr Championships
