Prof Sheryl Hendriks

 

Prof Sheryl Hendriks’ work focuses on understanding household dynamics in the design of food security measurement systems. She is currently developing a score chart for tracking progress towards MDG 1 and baselines for evidence-based analysis of economic growth strategies. She is also establishing a price tracking mechanism  to determine the impact of price changes on household food security.

Her plans for the next  5 years include the establishment of a live food security information system for South Africa. Her other current research interests include household food security, vulnerability analysis, agricultural research for development and agricultural growth linkages.
