Legal Office
The Legal Services Division provides legal services to the University's management, academic and support service departments.
The division’s activities include the following:

Negotiating, drafting and scrutinizing contracts and other legal documents, as well as effectively managing such documents. |

Providing legal advice over a broad spectrum and managing all litigation. |
| • |
Establishing, maintaining and promoting the statutory regulations and decisions that direct the functioning of the University. |

Providing legal and administrative support in respect of disciplinary matters involving students and staff. |
| • |
Matters related to labour law in support of management and the Department of Human Resources. |
| • |
Acting as Protection Officer: Policies on Sexual harassment and Racial discrimination. |
| • |
Acting as Information Officer: Promotion of Access to Information Act 3 of 2000. |
| • |
Acting as Co-ordinator: Whistle Blowing policy and Fraud policy and response plan. |
