Pioneer in educational drama passes away

Dorothy Heathcote, world-renowned and pioneering educational drama teacher, died on 8th October 2011 at the age of 85.
Educational drama refers to the use of drama and drama-based techniques as a learning medium or instructional tool in a variety of contexts. Heathcote inspired a myriad of children, students, teachers and drama practitioners across the world. Her work is an integral part of the Drama Department's Applied Drama/Theatre offering.
