Welcome to the Drama Department

Our Drama Department will teach you the necessary skills to be effective in a competitive artistic world!

The Drama Department stages around 17 productions per year. Some of these productions are larger than others. We also stage a production at the Grahamstown Arts Festival each year. This excludes the compulsory directing work of the honours students and the annual Krêkvars Arts Festival, which is a highlight on the UP calendar as students get the opportunity to stage the performances they have conceived, written and directed.
