The conference will be held in the Kruger National Park at the Berg-en-Dal Camp. Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, the Kruger National Park stretches 350 km. from north to south and covers 20 000 square km.

In the Kruger National Park the climate in August is mild and dry. The average daily minimum temperature is 10 deg centigrade and the maximum temperature is 27 deg centigrade.

Sunrise is at approximately 06:30 and sunset at 17:15.

As the Lowveld is an endemic malaria area, visitors must ensure that they take a malaria preventative as prescribed.

We recommend that visitors to the Park bring mosquito repellant, suntan lotion, binoculars and a flashlight.

The nearest town to the camp is Malelane, a distance of approximately 20 km. There is a bank, post office, pharmacy, doctor etc at Malelane. Also note that the camp gates close at 17:30 every evening to ensure the safety of both the visitors to the Park and the game. For this reason visitors are restricted to the campsite at night.

It will be possible to exchange travellers cheques at Berg-en-Dal on weekdays.
