By Office of the Vice-Chancellor and Principal/Kantoor van die Visekanselier en RektorProf Engelbrecht will act in this capacity pending the filling of the post vacated by Prof Nthabiseng Ogude, who takes up her appointment as Vice-Chancellor and Principal at the Tshwane University of Technology on 1 August.
Prof Engelbrecht has been employed by the University of Pretoria for more than 40 years. He was in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics for many years before his appointment as Deputy Dean of the Faculty three years ago. He also serves as Director of the SA Mathematics Foundation on a part-time basis.
