Dit is die derde grootste multisportbyeenkoms naas die Olimpiese Spele en die Asiatiese Spele, en sal die grootste multisportbyeenkoms wees wat nog ooit in Skotland plaasgevind het. Ongeveer 4 560 atlete sal aan 17 verskillende sportsoorte deelneem.

Besides our regular medal hopefuls in the pool, Roland Schoeman and Cameron van der Burgh, TuksSport have another swimming sensation, Karin Prinsloo. Karin is a registered Tuks Swimming Club member who has had some great form this year. In Glasgow she is hoping to add to her sterling performances in the recent Mare Nostrum event held across Europe in June. Here she won gold in the 200m Freestyle in the Monaco leg, and in the Barceloa leg Prinsloo added the women's 400m freestyle bronze medal and silver in the 200m freestyle.
