Team SA and TuksRowing’s Men’s Lightweight Four, Matthew Brittain, Lawrence Ndlovu, John Smith and James Thompson won gold at the 2012 London Olympics on Thursday with a winning time of 6:02.84.

South Africa finished superbly after trailing in fifth position with only 500m of the 2km race to go.

Great Britain won silver (6:03.09) and Denmark bronze (6:03.16).
