UP Archives Q-Photo and Vega workshops and competition 

This project was launched by the UP Archives in September 2002 with the incredibly generous sponsorship of Q-Photo and Vega. The aim is to offer UP students and staff the opportunity to improve their photographic skills through free photographic workshops presented by professional photographers. These photographs become part of the photographic collection of the University of Pretoria Archives and add a specifically student-centred dimension to this collection. As an added bonus, students can win wonderful prizes.

Four photographic workshops are held throughout the year, each focusing on specific techniques. Each participant is also supplied a CD and receives individual commentary on their work, as well as certificates of participation.
