Linda is a Senior Development Officer responsible for corporate fundraising (CSI), the DIA Volunteer Programme and Planned Giving. She also assists staff and student groups with corporate sponsorships.
She works closely with the Prospect Researcher and the Proposal Consultant to match corporate focus areas to registered UP projects and then forges a personal relationship between the DIA, project leaders and donors. The DIA Volunteer Programme involves students as well as high level volunteers from corporations who act as door openers for the DIA. The most obvious Planned Gift is a bequest to the University but this portfolio also cultivates a variety of gifts. Read more about this under Planned Giving on this website.

Palesa is responsible for building and maintaining relationships between UP and embassies, government departments and foreign agencies.
She coordinates donor related functions for the department. She also works closely with the Prospect Researcher and the Proposal Consultant to match funding focus areas of UP registered projects and then forges a personal relationship between the DIA, project leaders and donors. |

Rendani is responsible for the financial administration at the Department of Institutional Advancement (DIA). He receives donation payments, issues Section 18(A) tax vouchers and invoices, drafts letters of thanks on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and Head of Department for larger donations, reports on major donations received, and executes follow-up actions to trace donations.
He also assists the senior development officers with sponsorships, provides development officers with information, and responds to queries regarding donations, invoices and Section 18(A) tax certificates.
