A visit by Miss Varsity Cup 2012

The sponsors treated Cayla and the respective competitors from other universities with various outings during the Easter weekend, like a hot air-balloon ride at Cullinan, a photo shoot, a show at the Barnyard Theatre in Johannesburg and a shopping spree. Before the final game on Monday evening, all the competitors lined up for an individual interview with the judges. During half-time of the final match between Tuks and Maties, Cayla was crowned as Miss Varsity Cup 2012.

For the rest of the year until the crowning of Miss Varsity Cup 2013, Cayla will be involved in various charity endeavours at Mercy House, which is a safe haven for abused women. She will also be actively involved in the Pink Shorts Campaign.

Cayla is a third-year Bcom(Marketing Management) student. She is a resident of Jasmyn and also serves on the Jasmyn House Committee, where she holds the portfolios of Academics and Second-year Guardian. The Department of Human Resource Management wishes Cayla all the best with her duties during her reign as Miss Varsity Cup 2012.
