Squash Clash of the Year : Tuks 1 v UJ 1Posted on 01 September 2010 Saturday's match between the 2 top squash universities will be a match to remember. UJ have pulled out all the stops to try and take the title they called their own for 7 straight years .... The last minute registration of a full time professional player has swelled the ranks of the UJ team. Tuks will have to be at their best on Saturday. Marco Bekker - already a UCT graduate of Engineering - has now become a UJ student and will be a strong contender in the match. Teams will consist of 3 men and 3 women and with Marco as their banker, UJ believe they have a head start ........ . Tuks have had the upper hand at the annual USSA event for the past 6 years and UJ are desperate to turn the tables and their latest tactic has not dampened the spirits of the Tuks players - instead it has motivated the Tuks 1 team to new heights and although battling with 2 key players being injured, Tuks are confident that they will pull through victorious. All players and parents are invited to come along to the TUKS - the reigning USSA Champions. Wear your Tuks clothing and make yourself heard. |
