Information for Parents of International Students

The University of Pretoria hosts more than 2400 International students from all over the world. While on campus the International Students Division at the Client Service Centre becomes a home away from home to these students.
 
Who is regarded to be an International Student?

The term “international student” refers to any student who

• is not a South African citizen ; and
• does not have a permanent residence permit.

Please note : Students who do have Permanent Residence will not be able to register without proof of a South African identity document.

Please note : A student with a diplomatic residence permit, an asylum or refugee permit is treated the same as that of a student with a permanent residence permit.
