Tuksí SASOL womenís team has much food for thought after their disappointing draw with Bophelong.
They played their Bophelong counterparts away in a second round fixture and failed to keep to the set target.
“We looked if we were coming from 11 different nations and met for the first minutes before start of play. We have no one to blame but ourselves,” said the captain of the day and also Banyana Banyana vice-captain, Simphiwe Dludlu.
When they played Bophelong in the first round, Tuks won convincingly. This time around the game plan didn’t work as well against the Sasolburg based team.
Sello Mokoena, head coach was very frustrated about Tuks undoing all the good work that led to their first round win. There are nevertheless still a lot to play for.
Tuks and the log leaders have a gap of five points regardless of goal difference whereby Tuks is in second position.
“We are still in with a very sporting chance and need to win all our remaining games to ensure play-off participation,” said a hopeful Mokoena.
Tuks SASOL women’s team will play Colechester on Saturday, 13 February 2010 on Field B (next to TuksFootball Clubhouse).
