The TuksFootball women's team joined the rest of university staff and students when they went to put on a fresh coat of paint on Mononong Primari School in Mamelodi.
The team headed the Principal's call to get involved with the project organised on Saturday, 28 July 2012. "The students were at home on Mandela Day and that is why we joined the university project to commemorate that day and the girls are all very excited about the painting," said USSA Team Manager, Rose Seanego. Coach Sifiso Mahlangu added that it was a good team building exercise before they resumed their USSA season.
The team will resume their USSA Football Gauteng League campaign against North West University on Tuesday, 07 August 2012 at the UJ Buntin Campus, with kick-off at 18:30 and then play in a Women's Day Tournament in Mamelodi from 09 to 12 August 2012.
