The Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria, Professor Cheryl de la Rey, took time out yesterday to speak to AmaTuks; wishing them all the best for the remaining matches of the season.

"Although the University of Pretoria is known to be a strong rugby university, football was actually the first official sport that was played at the University and right now AmaTuks has the opportunity to reclaim that history." These were some of the motivational words she shared with the team.

The Principal was accompanied by the Executive Director, Professor Antonie de Klerk, and also present at the function were acting TuksSport Director, Mr Johan Potgieter and the CEO of the high performance center, Mr Toby Sutcliffe.

Speaking on behalf of the team, team captain Tebogo Monyai thanked club management and the senior management of the university for their support. He also assured management that the team will be playing in the Premier League in the 2012/2013 season. He then presented Professor de la Rey with an autographed match ball.
