Criminology lecturers receive best paper award: category Criminology at CRIMSA conferenceBy Liana le RouxPosted on 09 November 2011 Two of our criminology lecturers, Dr Francois Steyn and Dr Karen Booyens, were awarded the best paper award in the category Criminology at this year’s CRIMSA Conference that was held at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The conference theme was Criminal Justice and Criminology: A futuristic perspective on crime: trends and new crimes. The title of the paper that was presented by Drr Steyn and Booyens was: The crime-related views of first-year Criminology students attending two parallel-medium South African universities. |
