The Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen launched a similar Community-Based
Project module as is lectured at the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology.
Twelve students from the Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen in the Netherlands registered for the module in Community-Based projects. They will do the required 40 hours field work in July at the University of Pretoria, together with their co-students from UP. These students' community projects involve computer training in communities in Maarken (Limpopo) and Mamelodi.
A video conference between the two groups was held already to ensure that the foreign students feel welcome and at ease when they arrive here in July. These students are also communicating via e-mail on a regular basis and have exchanged profiles of themselves to one another. We are looking forward to welcome the students from the Radbound Universiteit Njimegen at the University of Pretoria
